AUGGIE
This wonderful boy has gone to his new home in Upstate New York. They adore him and he just adores him.
Look how great sweet Auggie looks. He is still at the vet recovering. He is so sweet and loving. We just love this boy. How could you resist that incredible face. No more tears for this boy.
Look at Auggie now after his surgery. He is doing great. It is hard to believe this is the same dog. He will be in the hospital for another 10 days to make sure we keep his infections under control and can monitor his healing.

AUGGIE is a 2 year old pit bull that was picked up by a stranger in Camden, SC in an area where people have been arrested for dog fighting and raising pits to fight. He was taken to Walter Crowe Humane Society where he was to be euthanized because of his injuries. We were contacted and said we would definitely take this incredibly sweet dog. It appears he was used as a bait dog based on all of the bites on him and his demeanor. He is not dog aggressive or people aggressive at all. His upper and lower lip have been torn off along with part of his nose and sinus cavity. He also has a foot that is torn and split down the middle between the toes. The picture of him above says it all. He is crying from all the pain and suffering he has gone through. He has old scars on him from where he was used as bait. I say this a thousand times a day, what kind of horrible creature of a person can sit back and allow this to happen and profit from the cruelty to these animals.
Auggie will be having surgery to reconstruct his lips, nose and sinus cavity. He has a terrible infection in his foot that will be treated at the same time his foot is repaired. It will probably be several operations before he is complete. We will also be looking for a special home or foster for this wonder dog.
