BEAUFORT

Latest Updates

Beaufort is another sad, sad case of Cruelty and Neglect in Beaufort County, SC.  Beaufort and Carly were rescued about the same time, but we did not think Beaufort was going to make it, which is why we are just now posting him.   Beaufort County Animal Control contacted us about a little dog that had been starved that a Good-Samaritan picked up and brought to them.  Someone had abandoned this starved 8 lb. puppy in an area where a dump on Goethe Road in Beaufort, SC is located.

Beaufort is an 8 pound Dachshund Mix that Animal Control originally thought was a small Lab Mix.  It was now or never for this little dog.  He could not stand for more than a few second and then would just fall.   We had him taken to the Critical Care Specialists in Charleston, SC where he was immediately taken into ICU.  His blood sugar levels were so low that it was a Miracle he was not in a coma.  Beaufort is on fluids to regulate his sugar levels and get him stable.  This sweet pup does not have any muscle mass.  You have to have muscles to get yourself up, and this little Guy is struggling to stand.  His lack of food has put his little body into starvation mode.

How anyone could allow a puppy to get in this horrible shape is beyond comprehension.   Puppies have to have specific nutrients to develop properly.  Without this, the do not have proper bone or muscle growth.   The Specialists think our dear boy is between four and six months old.  They do not know for sure but are guessing based on his teeth.  Beaufort is still in Critical Care and will be until his body begins to stabilize.  He is also getting daily Physical Therapy so he can develop muscles that will enable him to stand and walk.   Beaufort is a sweet, adorable puppy that does not have a mean bone in his body.  He is going to make someone very happy once we get him well.

It seems like all the dogs we have had recently are in ICU in Charleston, SC.  Our bills are beyond high, and we need your help to take care of the bills we are accruing for Beaufort.   We wish we didn't have to ask.  We wish Noah's Arks Rescue did not have to exist.  I wish every day were filled with healthy happy pups that we get to see running around loving Life.   Unfortunately, that is not our Reality.   We have to deal with helping the worst abuse cases known to man.    Every single day we witness the worst of the worst in Mankind.  The bright spot is when a puppy or dog like Beaufort, Carly or Boone wags their tail to let us know they are happy we came along.  We see it in their eyes when they tell us not to give up on them.  We are all they have in a sea of torment and abuse, and you are all we have.  We need each other to save the ones that we take into our care.   You are our Noah's Arks Rescue Village.  When all the World is going to Hell in a Handbasket, you Donate or drop us an encouraging note to say Thank-You for caring and stepping up for this sweet animal.   We appreciate your kindness and generosity more than you realize.

Sweet Beaufort is now fighting for his chance to live a long, healthy Life surrounded with unconditional Love.   Anything you can Donate would be greatly appreciated.   If you can't donate, please forward to your animal loving friends to give them a chance to help us with his care. Beaufort made it through the weekend and now has a chance at surviving.
