CECILY

Adorable Cecily is doing wonderfully.   She went back to the Surgical Facility in Charleston this week and had one of the fixators removed. The other leg had to have more surgery done to remove a piece of bone fragment that had worked its way to the surface and had created a nasty draining tract.   The bone fragment was removed, but the fixator on that leg will have to remain for another two weeks.  All in all, she is doing remarkably well for a little pup that had so many fractures and dislocated hip.   She can get up and move around comfortably without any issues.

Cecily is one of the sweetest, most adorable little pups.  Everything about her is delicate. We are all looking forward to having the fixators off and seeing her run and play.   Once the apparatus has been removed, she will be on restricted exercise for another month. At the end of one month, more x-rays will be done, and the restricted exercise will be extended or removed.   The way she is walking now, makes us feel very positive about her outcome.

Thanks for caring about this wonderful little Dog.  Her Journey to survive and walk is now becoming a reality.
