Latest Updates

Sweet Juliet is showing us all that two broken legs is not going to slow her down.  She was very shy and scared when we first took her in but is slowly coming around.   She is still in the hospital because of her constant bandage changes.  Dr. Nanfelt has to make sure she is not developing any sores or infection from the surgical site.   Because her legs had to be re-broken and plates put in, Dr. Nanfelt has to check to make sure Juliet is using her legs properly, and they are functioning correctly.  Juliet's legs healed improperly after her initial breaks.  We were told this was a long shot but was her only shot at ever walking normally again.  As of this morning, Dr. Nanfelt is feeling very positive about Juliet's ability to walk.   She has another four weeks being treated at Carolina Veterinary Specialists before we will know for sure.

Juliet's bladder issue is slowly improving.   We are having to re-train her bladder to function in a relaxed state as opposed to holding her urine which is what she trained her body to do.   She is still taking the valium which is helping.  Once we feel she is going naturally, the valium will be removed.   Juliet still has a long way to go but is a thousand percent better than she was when she arrived.  I was not sure if she would make it when I first picked her up.   She was in so much pain that she had given up and had shut down.

All of the Staff at Carolina Vet. Specialists In Matthew, NC adore Juliet and cheer her on every chance they get.   I can't even begin to thank them for all the love and care they show each one of our pups.   They are the best of the best in every way which is why we travel quite a distance to have them work on our dogs.  We love working with them.   We have posted two videos of the Staff cheering Juliet on to walk.  You can feel the Magic in the room from their enthusiasm.

Juliet will have medical bills for about another month.  Please, Donate whatever you can to help us with her Medical Care.  Thanks for making her Journey to WALK possible.  We greatly appreciate your love and support.
