LILY BETH

BERKELEY COUNTY, SC......Life for a puppy can go from playful to on Death's Door in the blink of an eye when a simple vaccination is not given at a very young age.   Vaccinations are not expensive, and a lot of Clinics offer discounts for qualified people.    Adorable seven week old Lily Beth is a Boston Terrier Mix that was picked up as a stray in Berkeley County and taken to the shelter there.   A Good-Samaritan saw her when she was helping at the shelter and decided to foster this bubbly, energetic little pup.   Life was good for two days, and then it went terribly wrong for this tiny baby.   She was taken to the Vet and tested positive for Parvo.   A simple vaccine could have prevented this most of the time.     The vaccines are not perfect, but it is the best form of defence for puppies.   We were contacted when the young Lady realized Lily Beth needed to be in ICU getting round the clock care if she was going to be given any chance of surviving this.

This adorable little pup is in the throes of Parvo.   Bloody diarrhea, vomiting, fever, you name it, and she has it.   We have had to put an NG tube in to give her nourishment since she has not been able to take any food in.   Right now, Lily Beth needs a Miracle to make it through this.   We are doing everything possible and then some to save this sweet puppy.  She is getting round the clock 24-hour care.   We have every Specialist we can think of consulting on her care to make sure no stone is left unturned.   Puppies do survive Parvo with proper medical care.   The best news is that she is out of the shelter and in ICU.  Based on how sick she is now, she would not have survived in a kennel environment.

We need all the donations we can get to make sure she has all the medical care she needs to pull through this.    Even with the best medical care, there is no guarantee she will survive.   Our only hope is that she was a strong little pup when she broke with Parvo.    Lily Beth needs all our prayers to give her the strength she needs to fight this.   If you cannot donate, please share with your animal loving friends that they might be able to help.  Intensive Care Units are the most expensive place to be in the hospital.   Lily Beth will have to remain there until she either wins her battle or she passes.   Please, keep our little girl in your prayers.
