MIKO

Look at adorable Miko now.  It is hard to believe this is the same puppy that was in Heart Failure six weeks ago.  Miko still has heart issues but the last time his Cardiologist looked at him a week ago, his heart had improved.  We are not scheduled to do another Echo for three more months, but we are very optimistic that Miko's heart condition is reversing based on the improvement we saw this past week.  Miko is still on a few heart meds and will remain on his supplemental herbs to restore his heart as much as possible.  At that time, we will have a much better idea of his long-term health regarding his heart.

When we first rescued him, his prognosis was terrible.  If he lived two months, he was going to be lucky.  We jumped in knowing his prognosis was terrible but still not giving up or given in.  Today is a different Story.  We see signs of improvement and his over-all health has changed dramatically.  It is hard to believe this is the same little bald bundle of Joy that couldn't even raise his head.   He now runs and plays just like any other pup his age.   If anything, he is a beefy little pup.

It seemed like he was going to be bald forever.  Then one day, he started growing hair, and we can't believe it is the same dog.  He does not even look like the dog we rescued.  The way Miko looks now, we think he is going to live for a very long time.  His Echo in three months is going to give us a very good idea of his Lifespan.   However, it turns out, whatever time he has left, is going to be amazing.

Miko is now available to be adopted but has to be approx. three or less hours from his Cardiologist in Charleston, SC.  Miko loves everyone and would play all day long if you would let him.  He gets along great with dogs and cats without any issues.   He is going to be big pup based on the size of his feet so keep that in mind.   Miko is still being monitored at the Hospital while we are waiting for his Echo.

Little Miko has continuous medical bills and will be for a very long time because of his Heart Condition and Demodex.  Please, consider making a Donation toward his Medical Bills.  Thanks for caring and making his Journey to Survive and Thrive possible.  We greatly appreciate the Support.
