PANSY

LAURENS, SC.....Imagine being 8-10 years old, you have spent most of your Life with one Family and get sick, and suddenly you are taken to the Pound to be PTS.  You love unconditionally, and this is your reward for good behavior.  We see this every day in this Country.    That is what happened to sweet Pansy.  We agreed to help this sweet pup.    She is a Chihuahua Mix that we thought had a large tumor between her rear legs.   It turned out she had a small tumor with a large hernia from either straining while giving birth or she was kicked.  Either way, the result is the same.  Pansy needed to get to the hospital ASAP to determine what the problem was and to fix it.

Pansy arrived at Carolina Vet. Specialists and was observed and stabilized and then scans were done.   Her ovaries and uterus were in the pouch the hernia had created.   The good news is that even though it appears they have been there for a while, there was no dead tissue from strangulation that happens a lot of the time.   Pansy's hernia was repaired, and several mammary masses were removed and sent off for biopsies.  We are waiting for the results to come back to determine if the masses were malignant or benign.

Pansy is a sweet pup that did not deserve to be abandoned the way she was.  If people would just ask, there are a lot of people that would help a Family in need.    When Pansy's results come back, we will decide if she needs chemo or radiation or if we got everything and she can go back to being a sweet loving pup.   She now has a chance at living out her Natural Born Life without it being cut short because she got sick and her Family no longer wanted her.

Please, help us with this sweet girl's Medical bills and Surgery.   If all goes well, her results will come back with no more surgery or chemo.   Fingers crossed she will be one of the lucky ones.  Thanks for caring and making her Journey to Heal possible.

PS....It is a good thing He is in the word She since I seem to use them both in the same paragraph a lot.  We have a lot of pups, and when I am typing, I end up using them both before I realize what I have done.  Please, forgive any typos.  Drop me a note and I will do my best to remember which the animal is.  A good example is, someone dropped me a note asking if Miko was he or she.  I wrote back He was a She even though I was looking right at his Crown Jewels knowing Miko was He.  Sorry for any confusion.  We are great at saving animals and loving them unconditionally.  Computer stuff, not so good.
