REMMY

Dear Remmy had to have Emergency Surgery yesterday because an area of his Rectum where he had already had surgery, ruptured.  If the area had not been repaired his tiny body would have become septic.

Remmy has had so many procedures in this area prior to us taking him; the Surgeon decided it was best to go in and get rid of any necrotic tissue that could be a potential place for infection.   The pictures are graphic so they will be grayed out unless you click on them.   I chose to show the pictures for anyone that is having a hard time understanding what this poor pup has been dealing with.   During the surgery, Dr. Basinger decided to take a biopsy of the necrotic tissue since we do not know the prior history for sweet Remmy.   It was told to us that he was part of a hoarding case, and he came in with his Mother.   We now believe that is not the case.  We believe he is much older than described and came in with another dog that was not his Mother.   The Vets now believe based on his mouth and dental that Remmy is closer to eight years old.   The biopsy report will give us a better idea.    If Remmy is eighteen months old, his entire Life was one of terrible hardship and suffering.   Whatever his age, he has  serious health issues that have to be addressed, or he will not make it.

This wonderful little dog has had the most difficult time of it.  After doing lots of tests to determine the cause of his constant diarrhea, we discovered a parasite (Cryptosporidium) that is not on a normal panel that he tested positive for.   We have him on a medication to rid his body of it.  His diarrhea improved but is now back in full swing.  We have every Specialist around working on his case to determine the cause and how to fix it.

One thing is very clear; Remmy is the sweetest little Angel, you will ever be around.  We love his gentle ways and his incredible Spirit.  He greets everyone with a smile and an enthusiastic kiss.   He loves other dogs and does not have an enemy in the World.   We all feel helpless at times because he has so much going on that is not working.   We then wrap him in our arms and see all the love and good this sweet dog has and are more determined than ever to save him.

Remmy needs a very Special Family that understands his condition and will love him just the same.   He has the biggest heart for such a tiny pup.   We are so blessed we stepped up for him because I don't think he would be here today if we hadn't.   The bills on our dear boy are so high that I quit counting.   Yesterday's emergency surgery is just one more large bill to add to the stack.    We rescued Remmy to do everything possible to save him, and that is what we are going to do.

Please, help us with the mounting bills for sweet Remmy and all the others we have under our care.   We never give up or give in when it comes to saving a Life.   We get up every day with the same goal in mind, to love unconditionally, to not let money keep us from saving an animal and to NEVER give up on them.   We stepped up for them, and will do whatever it takes to save them.   Thanks for being part of their hard Journey to Survive and Thrive.  They are the real Heroes that have had to endure such hardships and still LOVE.

Have a very blessed Holiday Season.   We are very blessed to have you as part of our Noah's Arks Rescue Community.
