BELLA 2

Latest Updates

AHOSKIE, NC......Adorable Bella is an eleven-month-old Pekingnese / Pomeranian Mix that was left in the front yard while the Owners went to the store for an hour.  When they returned, they discovered she had been run over by a car.    They kept her at home for three days without any medical care before they finally took her to the Vet where they signed her over.    There are so many horrible things that could have happened to Bella by her being left unattended in a non -fenced in area, being hit by a car is only one of about 20.

This amazing little girl has a shattered pelvis from the accident.   If you look at the x-ray, you can see how broken and displaced her pelvis is.  In spite of all the major trauma this sweet pup has endured, she is still a happy go lucky little dog.  The pain she has had to endure prior to being treated is something that would have turned most animals into little Cujo's.  She has allowed everyone to work on her without any issues.   She is not incontinent and can use the bathroom without any issues which is amazing since doing so causes her incredible pain.

Since we received sweet Bella, we have gotten her stable and have done her pelvic surgery which was quite extensive.  The surgeon had to put Humpty-Dumpty back together again with lots of hardware.   Bella has been undergoing extensive Rehab to get her moving again with proper form.  So far, she has been a trooper that never complains.  She loves everyone and is so glad to have the pain go away.   Our biggest problem is that she endured such horrible pain before she was ever treated that it is hard to contain her now that she is feeling better.

Bella still has several more weeks of Rehab but should be ready to be adopted right after that.  Our little girl is going to make some lucky Family very happy for a very long time.   If you are interested in sharing your home with this brave little girl, please, fill out our Adoption Application online ASAP to be considered.

Because of the Holidays, we have chosen not to post for new animals since everyone was away enjoying the Season.   We have eight new abuse cases that have all had to endure lots of surgeries and medical care.  Please, do your best to help us with their medical bills.   Because of all the abuse cases we have taken in; we are way behind financially.    All the animals are treated and loved and are always given the best possible care.   We will be posting them over the next couple of weeks.  Thanks for caring and being part of their Journey to Survive and Thrive in a far better World than the one we rescued them from.
