This incredible boy was bought to Greenville County Animal Control with a damaged leg.  After further tests and x-rays, it was determined he had been shot in the leg and his knee joint was shattered.  It is an old injury that was preventing him from being adopted and therefore he was scheduled to be euthanized.  After receiving lots of notes from people that wanted him to be spared, we decided we needed to step up for Buddy and see what we could do to save his leg.  After further tests, we decided to have surgery on his leg to repair it as best we could instead of amputating the leg.  He was using the leg a little but needed to have the surgery so he could put some weight on it without being in terrible pain.  Buddy is a one year old Golden Retriever mix that loves to play with anyone that comes near him. He loves cats, dogs & kids. Everyone just loves this sweet boy. His leg will always be stiff because the damage was so extensive but he is now out of pain and will be able to use his leg and live a wonderful happy life with some very lucky family.  Please, fill out our adoption agreement ASAP if you are interested in this sweet boy.

Buddy is doing great since his surgery.  His leg is still pretty stiff but he seems to be able to use it much better than he was before.  He is a beautiful dog that would make a wonderful member of the family.  We are looking for that special person make him a part of their family.  He needs to be around kids because he loves to play.

Buddy has been adopted to a wonderful family and is being spoiled rotten.
