CAESAR

MARSHVILLE, NC......Caesar is a beautiful eleven-month-old Boxer / Pitbull Mix that was abandoned with an EMBEDDED Collar.   Someone called Animal Control when they saw this sweet pup was tied up and had two large gaping wounds where a chain collar had become embedded.   It appeared he did not have food or water.  The Owners said they went out of town for the weekend and left him outside with no one looking after him.   The Authorities said he had to be seen by a Vet, which is how we got involved.   They could not afford his care and signed him over to the Hospital.

To say I am totally disheartened and disgusted with people like this is an understatement.  I have a phone call into the Officer that is in charge of the case.   I am going to do whatever I can to make sure these people are charged with Animal Cruelty and Abuse.   The saddest part of all is this sweet pup has scars from them doing this before.   This is the second time Caesar has been choked by an embedded collar.  He still has the scars from the last time the chain became embedded.  They need to be locked up and the key thrown away.  There is no excuse for getting a dog, tieing him up, taking away his freedom and not making sure he is safe and taken care of.   This did not happen during a weekend get away.   This has been going on for months with this adorable puppy suffering and in terrible pain.  His wounds are terribly infected, he is covered with fleas and appears to have never received any Vet Care.

Caesar is in the ER where his wounds have been cleaned, and Tie-Over Loops have been sewn in so his bandages can be changed daily.   Once the wounds have stopped draining, he will have Surgery to remove the infected tissue and sewn shut.  The chain had embedded so deep into his neck that it had grown into his neck muscles.   I can't even imagine how scared this sweet pup was as each day he grew, the chain around his neck got tighter and tighter.  There is no excuse for the inhumanity of these people.  If you can't take care of an animal, hand them over to Animal Control, so they DO NOT Suffer.   We all understand hard times but to turn a blind-eye and never give this puppy a second thought, is inexcusable.

Caesar is a delightful pup that loves everyone he meets.  He does not have a mean bone in his body.   We were contacted because everyone at the Hospital was in love with Caesar and wanted him to get the best possible care around.   I hate he has had to endure this kind of pain and suffering.   The good news is that his nightmare will soon be over.   We are going to get him the best Medical Care possible and then we are going to find him a home where he will never have to worry about being tied up ever again.   He has the rest of his Life to be spoiled rotten and Loved, unconditionally.

Please, Donate toward his Medical Bills so we can Help more dogs like poor Caesar.
