​BEAUFORT, SC……..Adorable 8 month old French Bulldog Mix was brought into the vets office for a broken leg. Accidents happen, but this same little pup was brought into the same vets office last October for a SHATTERED leg. The Owners said she broke it getting off the couch. Her leg wasn't broken then but was shattered and had to be removed because they could not afford the necessary surgery to repair the leg. Now at 8 months old, this wonderful little pup is back with another broken front leg. Whatever is going on in that household, this little stocky pup is not just falling off the couch breaking her legs. Cassie has been signed over to us so we can get her out of the bad situation she was in. We can't prove anything but are glad we have this adorable little girl. Since she is a tripod already, she could not have another leg removed. We brought in our wonderful Orthopedic Surgeon Dr. Cook and had sweet Cassie's leg repaired so she can live a long life as a very happy adorable little pup.
Cassie is doing well since we did her surgery and is getting physical therapy to get her back to walking again. Animals adapt very well to being tripods. Being a tripod missing a front leg and then having surgery on the other front leg is a little more difficult. You are having to use your rear legs to push you along instead of pulling. Our little bundle of joy has taken it all in stride and is moving around like nothing ever happened. This has to be the happiest little pup we have ever seen. If it was up to her, she would remain in your arms all day long cuddled into your neck. Cassie is a normal little pup that is very resilient. She does not have fragile bones or anything like that. Something happened to her. You can't crush a leg by falling off a couch. We are just thankful we had the opportunity to save her other leg and get her into a loving home.
