Cheers

Latest Updates

Cheers is a 1 1/2 year old female shepherd that was brought into the Greenville Shelter by Animal Control.  Her ankle is broken with tiny fragments of bone in the ankle break. The injury appears to be a couple of weeks old and we think she was hit by a car.    Part of the skin is torn off down to the bone.  This is a sweet, loving dog that has no aggression at all, even with this bad leg.  Instead of having her put down, we have decided she is a dog worth saving and have opted to put her in our surgical program.  She has already been evaluated by North Greenville Animal Hospital and is on her way to UVS this afternoon to be further evaluated and possibly have her leg operated on.  The easy thing to do is amputate her leg but since she is so young, we are doing everything we can to save it, if possible.

We already have a foster to take care of her once she has the surgery.
