We all need some good news, and I am happy to give you some.  Adorable Chief is doing amazing.  We removed his leg, and his lymph nodes went down that had been so inflamed from the infection.   He was so glad to have the bad leg off that he almost stood up right after surgery.   If he had been left any longer with the infection he had, we would not have had a good outcome.   His body was becoming septic, and the infection had gotten into his bones.   Once Chief fully recovers from the surgery and infection, we will begin his Heartworm Treatment.

Adorable and Sweet are two words that are used to describe this wonderful dog.  Everyone is in love with him.  All of the Surgical Staff think they have died and gone to Heaven when they get to work with him because he is a delight in every way.  He will give you the sweetest expressions that make you want to pick him up and wrap him in your arms.  It is Criminal for someone to have let him suffer the way they did.   He has not complained once since we have had him.   All he wants to do is please and hand out lots of kisses.   He is going to be the most amazing dog for someone special.   He is walking as a tripod without any issues.   He will soon be running and playing and loving Life.

Chief is still in the hospital recovering and then we will do his Heartworm Treatment.   We have a foster for him when he is ready in the Charlotte area but will be looking for a permanent home.  We are still taking Donations to cover his Surgical & Medical Bills.  Thanks for caring and making his Journey to heal and find Love, possible.
