This sweet, beautiful 7 year old male BLOODHOUND was shot when a neighbor found him in his chicken coop and shot him.  A simple get away would have made this gentle boy get out of the coop but no he had to shoot him.   Animal Control from Camden, SC was called and brought him to their facility.  We were contacted to see if we could save him.  He has been in the hospital since yesterday to get him stable.  He will be given a blood transfusion today along with more fluids.  His leg will have to be removed and special surgery will have to be done to repair where the leg was because so much of the viable tissue was destroyed that is needed to close up the removal site.  This is a beautiful dog that did not deserve this.  We are doing everything we can to save this boy but need your help.

Coop had a transfusion on Friday from a young dog that got his blood count up enough for him to have his leg removed.  This poor boy almost bled to death.  He was in surgery for several hours late Friday afternoon and did well.

He is up walking around this Saturday morning as a tripod.  He is doing a lot better than he has been doing.  Young blood will do that to you.  He will be at the hospital for several more days to make sure he remains stable.

Coop is with his foster family and doing much better.  He is beginning to get around without the harness on his own.  He is a big boy and this will get better as his other legs get stronger.  We have several people interested in him and are hopeful we can find the right home for this wonderful boy.

Coop is doing pretty good for a big dog that lost a leg.  He was REALLY depressed and is now beginning to be happy again.  He will be going to his new wonderful home this week and we are so excited for him.

This wonderful boy has been adopted and has a place he can now call home.  Here he is at his new address.  He had a rough start, but has now started to feel so much better and loves being cared for by his new Guardians.  They are his new Guardian Angels.
