Sweet ELIAS is part of a cruelty case in Decatur, GA.  He was picked up by

Animal Control at the home of a group of people that had been using him as a bait dog to fight their pit bulls.  Elias was found alive but the other dogs had all recently been shot by the owners before the authorities arrived.  This is an on-going cruelty case to convict the people that did this to Elias and the other dogs.  It appears they were involved in dog fighting.  Elias is covered with fresh and old dog bites and has lots of gashes on his body.  He has fresh bites all over his rear end.  His ear has two terrible tears on the bottom front and back of his right ear.  He will be having surgery today to repair his ear and the other gashes he has.  This sweet, shy puppy is only around nine months old.  Based on the scars he has all over his body, he has been used as a bait dog since he was very young.  Elias is not aggressive at all which is the reason he was used as bait.  Once Elias has recovered and is well enough, he will go into our training program to re-socialize him with other dogs.  Right now he is as sweet as can be to people and other dogs.  We think he is a Pit and Weimaraner mix.

Elias is doing wonderful.  This little dog is so sweet.  He has a gentle spirit that is so endearing.  All he wants to do is get along with everybody and everyone.  He is finally beginning to come out of his shell and thrust that he is going to be okay.

Elias is doing wonderful.  There are not enough words to describe how wonderful Elias is.  He gets along with everyone and everything.  All he cares about doing is giving kisses and doing exactly what you want him to do.  He is such a gentle soul for such a young dog.  We think he is so special.  How anyone could have allowed the kind of abuse he endured is horrible.  He would not hurt a fly.  He will make an incredible member of the family.  If you are interested in him, please fill out our adoption application and send us an e-mail to let us know to expect it.
