Latest Updates

Midnight has lived her entire life of 9 months tied up in someone’s back yard in Clinton, SC.  The people got her, put a one inch webbed puppy collar on her, gave her food and water and then forgot about her. She is a sweet, sweet, sweet beautiful black shepherd mix.  She loves everyone.  Then last week they discovered she had a large deep laceration across her back and decided to bring her to the vet.  During the evaluation, it was discovered this sweet dog had her original puppy collar still on and it was completely embedded into her skin.  You could barely see it, it was so embedded.  The vet believes the dog got tangled up in the line she was tied to and had been left that way for so long that the tie out line had become embedded in her back.  The dog was signed over and the authorities were contacted.  We are just thank-full the owners finally noticed the dog and brought her to a vet.  If they hadn’t, she would be dead from either choking or infection from the horrible wounds she had.  Why get a dog if you are going to tie her up and forget about her.  We see this everyday in the South and fight everyday for there to be NO TETHERING LAWS in every state in the United States.  There is no shortage of dogs, just like Midnight, down every dirt road in the South.  This is a sweet, adorable lovable creature that thought she was coming home to a life of belly rubs, warm beds and lots playing catch in the back yard.  Instead, she was given a life sentence at the end of a line with No Freedom and no one to love her.

Midnight will be the most wonderful family pet for some lucky family.  She loves everyone, including dogs and tolerates cats.  She loves to play and give lots and lots of sloppy kisses to anyone that is near her.  If you are interested in this sweet dog, please fill out our Adoption Application from our website and fax to us.  Let us know via e-mail to be expecting it.

Below our contact information are very graphic pictures of how Midnight was right after we removed the collar and did surgery on her.  Please DO NOT forward or send to anyone without warning them, so they can choose to not open.

Midnight is doing wonderful and is so happy to be free of his former life.  His wounds are healing beautifully.  He is a wonderful dog that will make an incredible family pet.

Midnight is recovering nicely.  His neck wound is healing much better than the gash on his back but that will just take time.  He is a wonderfully sweet dog that has really had a terrible start in life.  He will be ready for adoption as soon as his back injury has healed.  We just love this sweet boy.
