HENDERSON, KY.....We got a desperate plea from a Rescue in Kentucky asking us to, please consider helping them with a little Rat Terrier that had been hurt as a baby.  The Rescue explained to me that Timmy had been adopted from them when he was a puppy.   The Family brought Timmy back explaining they could not housebreak him.  When Timmy was returned, he was a totally different pup that had a terrible limp.  He was taken to the vet and x-rays showed he had a broken femur, and his hip-socket was shattered.  When they discussed this with the Family, they explained their son had fallen on him a month ago, and that was when he became difficult to Housebreak.   Timmy never had any medical care.  He was obviously in terrible pain.  That is why he was having the Housebreaking issues.

The Rescue uses and old time Vet that should not be doing this kind of surgery any longer.   They mean well, but more harm than good is done a lot of the time when it comes to surgeries they are not qualified to do.   We agreed to take Timmy so he could have the necessary corrective surgery so he could literally "shoot straight."   He was unadoptable the way he was.  We love all of our pups just the way they are, but we still need to get them into a great home.

The way our Orthopedic Surgeons  explained it to us is that the Vet removed too much of Timmy's muscle mass when they removed the leg.  He was a tiny puppy at the time, and they did not account for the fact he would be growing.  As he grew, his penis became positioned too far over.  The skin has also stretched far beyond what is comfortable for him and is now very thin because of this.  We have done several surgeries and will have to do one more to get this adorable pup back to being a regular pup.

This little guy has had a terrible start in life.  He has suffered long enough.  Let's get him on the mend so he can be adopted into a wonderful Family that will love and cherish him for the cute adorable pup that he is.   Please, help us with his Surgeries by DONATING.

Part of our agreement to help this pup was for the Rescue to not allow this Vet to perform any more surgical procedures on their animals that he was not qualified to do.
