PORTSMOUTH, VA.....Adorable Izzy is a 8-year-old, 5 pound Yorkie that was rescued from a Puppy Mill.   Her entire Life was spent locked in a cage and repeatedly bred for puppies to sale.  The puppies were delivered by C-Section each time.   She was turned over to a Rescue when the breeder saw she was having health issues and was no longer able to be bred.   The Rescue that took Izzy in found what they thought was a wonderful Family to Adopt her.  Unfortunately, that turned out to not be the case.  Two weeks later the Rescue got a phone call saying something was wrong with Izzy.  She would fall over and had to be lifted to go to the bathroom and appeared to be in terrible pain.  The person that adopted Izzy was an elderly woman that had Grandkids.  After talking to the woman, they suspect Izzy was dropped by the Grandkids.

The Rescue could not afford the tests that were required to find out what was wrong with Izzy, so they reached out to other Rescues.  Most of the Vets they spoke to recommended EUTHANASIA.  One Rescue said they would take her and then contacted me once they found out what was wrong with this adorable pup.    Izzy has a Herniated Disk that probably came from being dropped.

This adorable little girl has had a terrible Life.  Kept in a cage all of her Life and then she finally gets out and into a home, only to be dropped and shuffled from one place to another.   Once I heard her story, I knew I had to help her.  I hate she has had to endure so much suffering and hardship.   Her horrible Life is now behind her, and we are going to get her the Surgery she needs and find her a wonderful home.  No animal should be treated this way.  Animals love unconditionally, and all they want is an occasional pat on the head.

Izzy is not able to walk without falling over because of the spinal injury and the pain she is in.  The surgery will take care of her pain and enable her to walk normally again once she has recovered.  Please, help us with her surgical bills.  Our wonderful Neurologist, Dr. Bob Bergman will be doing her procedure.  Let's turn this tiny Angel's Life around and shower her with Unconditional Love.  She may be an older Gal, but her eyes sparkle like big diamonds.   Izzy has the rest of her Life to make up for all the time she was caged and never got to get out and walk around.   This is her only chance, and we are going to give it to her.   Please, Donate so she can enjoy the rest of her Life, pain-free.
