I am happy to report that our sweet pup is a fighter and is still with us.  His blood values are settling down and are not as erratic as they were.   His Echo this morning showed a lot of improvement surrounding his heart.  Yesterday, he was in Heart Failure and was not going to make it.   We got all of the Specialists together and came up with a plan that would give him the best possible chance.   So far it is working.  The long-term prognosis is not good unless his heart begins to recover from the damage that was done.   We are always very hopeful when it comes to these sweet pups that are fighters, beating the odds.   Today is a new day for him.  His skin is not draining like it was and is beginning to dry out.   We have a lot of balls in the air when an animal has so many intricate parts that are not working together.   The best news is that ALL of the Specialists that I work with across the World work extremely well together.  If you don't, then you are not on the NAR Team.  Everyone has one Goal in Mind and that is to get the animal WELL no matter what the cost or where the animal is.    

We also have a wonderful ER Vet Tech that lives five minutes from his Critical Care Facility that would like to Foster Miko so he can get out of the Hospital and be in a home.  He will have to go back and forth with her daily but he will be part of her Family and get to be loved on 24 hours a day while we are treating him.  She is also one of the Techs that works with him Daily so she knows what he needs and requires to survive.   Right now, we are feeling good about sweet Miko.  He is still in ICU and will be for a while.   His prognosis is guarded but good.
