MUGGS

Latest Updates

Adorable Muggs is still in ICU recovering from her 3rd Degree burns.  Most of her burns have healed enough for us to close up any large areas that are not granulating in properly.  She has to still be in the hospital because she has such large areas that are open raw wounds.  Her bandages are changed once a day and all areas are cleaned thoroughly and any dead tissue is removed.  The big difference this week is that our dear Muggs started having head tremors.  All the Specialists got together and they believe the tremors are delayed effects of CO  (carbon monoxide) poisoning from the smoke she inhaled.  There is nothing we can do that we haven't already done to rid her body of the toxins she inhaled.  Muggs is very lucky to be alive.  With all the pain and suffering she has endured, she is still a delight to work with.  Everyone loves having her as their Patient, especially one person in particular.  Muggs loves Catherine her Vet. Tech.  The minute Catherine walks in the room, Muggs entire face lights up and she runs into her arms.  The feeling is definitely mutual.  Catherine is seen in the picture loving on our sweet girl.  When any Vet. Tech or Assistant is not busy, the first thing they do is go get Muggs and let her out to play.  She does incredibly well for a little dog that has so many bandages wrapped around her legs.  Our sweet little Angel still has to stay in the hospital but hopefully in the next few weeks she will be able to get out for brief periods.   The bills for Muggs are extremely high.  We need all the donations we can get to even come close to paying down her bills that increase each day she is there.  Thanks for caring and sharing her story of survival.  She is certainly a brave little Lady that has survived a horrible ordeal of pain and suffering.
