BENGAL

I am happy to have great news about this amazing dog.  Her leg was removed from the scapula down yesterday.   She came out of recovery late yesterday and was totally knocked out until late into the evening.   She is up this morning, and I am happy to report is walking.   She is still adapting but not having any issues.  Her pain level now compared to the pain level she had with the infected leg is nothing.  She is not having any issues with being a trip-pod.  Her blood values dropped some during the night but not enough for us to do a transfusion.   Now that her leg is gone, she will finally have the ability to knock out any infection that is still in her system.

Bengal is a sweet pup that is still unsure of what is going to happen next.  Her Life on the streets had to have been terrible for her to be still unsure of us.   We are all very cautious when we work with her to make sure she knows we are here to help and not hurt her.  She is still unsure at times.  Having the leg off and not having to be fooled with all the time for bandage changes, should put her in a better state of mind.   Bengal is a timid girl that is not aggressive.   She just needs some good quality time to relax and heal in a loving environment.    Bengal will be in the hospital until next week and then will be able to go into a Foster Home if one is available.  We are hoping someone will step up and offer to Foster, this sweet girl.  Otherwise, she will be in a regular Vet. hospital getting lots of TLC and healing.  Thanks for caring and making her Journey to Heal, possible.
