Latest Updates

This SWEET 2 year old emaciated boxer/pit mix was picked up by the police and brought to the Forrest City, Arkansas Shelter.  He was found tied to a stop sign after what appeared to have been a dog fight where he was used as bait.  He is covered with bite marks and gashes all over his legs and face.  His eye has been destroyed and will have to be removed.  He has chunks of his lip and ear that are missing.  His legs are so scarred that it looks like he has tiger stripes.  He was covered with grease which is what they do to a lot of bait dogs so they will last longer during a fight because it is harder for another dog to get a grip on them.  He is as sweet as can be.  He has been transferred to a hospital in Jonesboro, Arkansas where he is being treated and is having surgery to have his eye removed today.

This sweet boy had his eye removed today and he is doing great.  We had a few concerns that gave us pause today before surgery.  He is high HW+ and we had to closely monitor him during the procedure with the anesthesia because of that.  You couldn’t tell from the pictures but he had a terrible ulcer that had destroyed his eye.  It was completely infected and not functional which is the reason it had to be removed.  He is doing wonderful and we are working on getting him to South Carolina (weather permitting) this week-end.  This is Brahm during his surgery today.

Brahm has finally made it to SC thanks to 12 great people that offered to drive her here.  He is doing great and is adjusting to her new foster family.  He has been evaluated and is as sweet as can be.  If you are interested in adopting this wonderful dog, please let us know.  He still has lots of weight to put on but is doing that slowly.

Sweet Brahm is so sweet that we are changing his name to Sugar Daddy.  He is putting weight on and is thriving in his new environment being pampered.  Everyone that sees him just falls in love with him.  Look at how sweet he is below.  He is also not dog aggressive at all.
