CHANCE

Chance is back in South Carolina after all of his rehab and is acting like a new dog. He is doing wonderful since he had surgery on both of his legs. One thing has not changed, he is still one of the sweetest dog you will ever be around. He loves everyone and every animal. This is one great dog.

Chance is in a foster home in Vermont with Ms. Reba and Stanny. He is doing wonderful. He still hates his rehab but he is improving more and more each day. He is putting weight back on and his mange is getting a lot better. He looks wonderful here with some foster puppies that just seem to love this sweet boy.

Chance is slowly but surely making some progress. He is still not putting weight on his back left leg but we are hopeful he will with a lot more rehab. He has put a little weight back on and that will increase substantially each week. He will be at the vet for another 4 weeks.

This incredible dog has had so much pain and suffering for such a young dog. He had his surgery last week along with Chester & Hope. We sent the chip-in around for all three and it just didn’t work for getting the funds we needed. We have Chester and Hope on the original chip-in and lowered the amount to cover their bills. Chance we decided is such a special abuse case that we really needed for him to have his own chip-in. I can’t even begin to tell you how emaciated this pup is in person. This picture puts 10 pounds on him easily. He is skin and bones and his skin is so red, irritated and swollen from the demodex that it makes him look bigger than he is. How anyone could have allowed this to happen is so sad.
He is recovering from the surgery but it will be a long time before he is out of the woods. He will require lots of rehab to get his legs back functioning normally again. Through everything he has gone through, he has been nothing but the sweetest dog. He loves to put his head in your lap and have you love on him, even though you know it hurts when yo do it. We really need help with this gentle boy to cover his expenses. Any donation that came in for Chance was put against his balance as of today and the remainder we did a chip-in for. He was at Upstate Veterinary Specialist all week and was transferred to North Greenville this morning. He will be there for about 4 weeks getting physical therapy and medical care to get him through this. As always, he will be getting lots and lots of love and affection. The bill is much higher than we had anticipated because of all the medical after care he is requiring.
Thanks for caring and helping us with this sweet pup.

The wonderful young pit bull has had a terrible life. His whole body was just broken to pieces from a car accident. He is emaciated and has a terrible case of demodex. He was in this horrible condition for two weeks before he was picked up and brought to the shelter. Everyone wanted him put down. We just couldn't because through it all he was nothing but sweet and loving and had a kiss for anyone that would come near him. His tail always had a little wiggle to it to let you know how happy he is to be here. We just love this incredible pup. He is still at Upstate Veterinary Specialist and will be transferred to North Greenville Animal Hospital Monday or Tuesday. This sweet loving dog deserves only the best that life has to offer after what he has been through. There is not a mean bone in his body. He loves everyone and eveything. Please, help us find the perfect home for this wonderful boy. If you didn't donate last week, well donate now in honor of this wonderful dog. He never gave up on the kindness of mankind. He is so emaciated that these pictures make him look like he has weight on.

Chance was picked up and brought to the shelter in Greenville, SC. It appears he was hit by a car about two week ago. He was in excruciating pain when he arrived. This sweet 10 month old pit bull puppy has apparently been abused from the state he was in when he arrived. Not only was he broken up from the accident but he has a terrible case of demodex and is very thin. He has a left femur fracture, left acetabular fracture, and right ilial shaft fracture. All of the above problems meant he was not getting out alive. No one wanted him in this condition. With all he has been through this is an incredibly sweet loving dog. We could not help the pekingese puppy and then not help him. We do not discriminate against any animals. We chose to give this wonderful dog a CHANCE at a new life and are so glad we did. He is incredible and any family that gets him will have the sweetest member of the family. He is at Upstate Veterinary Hospital where his surgery was performed and will be there until Monday and then will be transferred to North Greenville Vet Hospital. He is available for adoption.
Please, help us help him by donating.
