Faith has been with her foster family and doing great. Her trust issues are going away and she is beginning to socialize with other dogs. Her prolapses uterus has almost gone back in all the way. She is doing far better than we expected and is really loving being around people. She is dealing with an URI that is causing her to lose a little weight but that should pass soon.

Faith is healing wonderful after her surgery. She still has a small amount of tissue that is still extended but that will not require any extra surgery, it will just be part of her anatomy as she heals. She has gained some weight and is a lot more active than she was. Since she is felling better she has become a little dog aggressive but responds well to a tug or a firm no.

Faith is doing great since her surgery. The excess tissue is going down a lot and it appears if she keeps progressing the way she is, a second operation will not be necessary. She is feeling a 100% better today.

FAITH had her surgery today and now we will just have to wait and see if the extra tissue that could not be removed will draw back into her body. She will be at the surgical facility for two weeks until her infection clears up and we have determined if a second operation will be necessary. We are hopeful this will be all the surgery she will need but will not know until we see how her body responds after her spay. She is feeling a lot better than she was when she arrived and is even appearing to be happy. She was a very sad girl when she first arrived because of all the pain she was in.

FAITH was brought into Greenville County Animal Control in an old metal crate filled with dried dirt and grass. She belonged to a 72 year old woman that cannot take care of FAITH and her sister HOPE. Faith has a prolapsed uterus that has become infected. She is at the vets office on pain meds and antibiotics to clear up some of the infection before she has surgery. She will be spayed on Thursday. They will try to repair as much as possible of any damaged tissue that will not be removed during the spay procedure. She will remain at the vets office until the infection has gone away and she has begun to heal from the surgery. She may require more surgery but we will not know until she has healed from this procedure.
