Latest Updates

This sweet lab was brought into the Emergency Vet Clinic in Greenville, SC after being picked up on the side of the road.  He could barely walk and after further test, it was discovered he had been hit by  a car.  We were contacted because the girls at the clinic knew that with his injuries he would be euthanized if he was taken to the shelter.  Everyone there just fell in love with this sweet three year old boy and wanted to do everything they could to help save him.  His back legs are broken and he needs extensive surgery.  He is on heavy medication and is feeling no pain as you can see from the picture.  We can’t keep him like this for too long.

July 14, 2009 Update

Chester had his surgery yesterday and is recovering beautifully.  He still has lots of pain which we are taking care of but it will be a while before that goes away.  The surgeons did a right femoral head ostectomy (FHO) and a right ilial shaft fracture repair on Chester.
