Clifford

Latest Updates

Clifford was picked up by animal control in Darlington, SC.  He is a 2-3 year old golden retriever mix that has a terribly mangled front right leg that has to be amputated and he is emaciated.  He is skin and bones under all that fur. This is an old injury that was left untreated for a long time for this poor dog to be in the shape he was in.  The infection to the leg is so bad that it has gone all the way up into his body.  He was set to be euthanized and at the last minute one of the women there pulled him out of line and called us immediately.  This beautiful, sweet dog is having his leg amputated today at Anderson Vet Hospital and will be available for adoption after he recovers.

This sweet golden retriever is doing a 1000 percent better after his amputation.  How he survived, we will never know.  I have never seen such a horrible infection in all my years of rescue.  I really do not know how he could stand the pain from the injury.  we are waiting for a new picture since his amputation and will post on his page once we get it.  He is at Anderson Animal Hospital in Hartsville, SC. and is available for adoption once he recovers.

This sweet golden has finally had his leg removed and is feeling a lot better.  How he ever endured this pain we will never know.  He is still at Anderson Animal Hospital and will be going to his foster home this week.  He is available for adoption and is a wonderful dog with a lot of love to give.
