This sweet 6 month old husky mix was picked up and brought into GCAC.  She was picked to go to the Greenville Humane Society to be adopted.  Before they could pick her up at the shelter she caught her leg between the water bowl and the cage wall.  This happened during the night and she obviously panicked. Young dogs bones are very soft and delicate and she broke her leg trying to free herself.  It is a very unfortunate accident but now she will not be able to go to the adoption floor and ended up on the euthanization list because of the injury. We just couldn't let that happen to this sweet, beautiful girl so we rescued her and need to raise the funds for her surgery to have a plate put in her leg.

Cobalt has had to go back into surgery because he has broken his leg again right above the last break.  She is now in a splint and will be at UVS for the next week so she can be closely monitored.  She was at the vet when this happened.  Her bones are very delicate and we are looking into why she is having so many problems.

Colbalt does not have a clue all the problems she has caused with these breaks.  As far as she is concerned all he cares about is who is going to feed me and where can I run around.  She has a splint on his leg so there is no way she can fracture or break it.  He is a fun loving sweet pup.

Cobalt is doing great...finally.  She will be leaving UVS today to go into her foster home to continue his re-hab.

Her leg is finally healing to where we are not so worried about this gorgeous girl.  She is finally ready to go to her forever home.  She is a very active girl that loves to play.

Cobalt has finally been adopted by a family that just adores her.
