This beautiful 6 month old female kitten was brought into the Greenville Shelter in total shock.  She was taken immediately to North Greenville Animal Hospital where she was treated for the shock.  It took days to get her out of this state.  She was on IV’s the whole time to keep her organs functioning.  She also has a fractured left shoulder. She was later transferred to Upstate Veterinary Specialist where they treated her shoulder and did more tests.  She finally came around but we really did not think she was going to make it.  We do not have any idea what happened to this adorable cat.  We just know she was picked up and dropped off at the shelter. Because of the condition she she was in when she arrived she was set to be euthanized immediately.  We are glad that didn’t happen because she is a beautiful kitten that should have at least eight of her nine lives left.

Dolce has a new home and is doing wonderful.  She still has to leave her bandages on until her shoulder heals but she has completely recovered from her trauma.  People just didn’t realize that this sweet kitten in the original picture is completely lifeless. She was in total shock and her body was just shutting down.  It took several days on IV’s  before she came out of this state.
