This beautiful three year old male cat was brought into Greenville County Animal Control with a terrible hematoma in his ear and what appeared to be a broken leg.  The leg turned out to be a fracture but the ear we have been working on since we rescued him last week from being euthanized.  He is still at the vet on lots of antibiotics.  We have removed the hematoma and put a drain in and had the ear sewn up.  It looks like he was possibly hit with something,  The ear has not improved after several procedures and we have finally decided the only way it is going to have any chance of healing is to remove the ear flap completely.  We didn’t want to do that but it is his only chance or his ear will only get worse.  He is having his surgery today and we will post a picture as soon as he has recovered enough for us to take a picture of this sweet boy.

This incredible cat has had all of his surgeries and is doing wonderful.  He will always have some issues with his ear and his leg.  He is so sweet and loving and really deserves a great home where someone can love on him all the time.  He will have to be an indoor cat because of the problems with his ear.  He still has an old leg issue and we are hopeful this will improve without surgery.  He needs to go into a foster home while his ear is healing unless it is someone that can look after him while he is healing.

Floppy had to have his leg amputated this week.  He was very uncomfortable and decided this was the best thing for him since he was not using the leg.
