LILY BETH

Sweet Lily Beth is still in ICU.  She has made it through her bout of Parvo but is now fighting something that her Specialists think could be Distemper.   Her sinuses are still producing  a large amount of mucous.  A special test was ordered so we could rule out Distemper, but her results will not be back for five more days.   The last three days Lily Beth has been very down with only brief periods of showing any energy at all.     Her blood panel showed that she was slightly anemic which could be why she wants to sleep so much.  He vitals are stable except for her body temperature that has dropped significantly over the last two days.   She has lots of warmers around her to keep her temperature up.  It is only this afternoon that her temperature has come up slightly.   The fact that she is not active and that her heart rate has slowed down is probably the reason for her low temperature.

Lily Beth has round the clock care.  Since she is in isolation, every person that goes in has to be suited up in something similar to a hazmat suit.   They give her lots of hugs and kisses while they are also doing all of her vitals and administering her meds.   She may be in isolation, but you would never know it based on how many people are always suited up working with her.   Isolation does not mean you are lonely, just the opposite.    She is probably ready for everyone to go and leave her alone.

The best part is that Lily Beth survived the Parvo.   She is not out of the woods and is still here fighting to Live.   Her Doctor's think she has improved today slightly.   Not by much but I will take it.  It is hard to believe she has been in ICU for two weeks and is still there fighting.  Her big eyes still light up a room when she opens them.   I think she will pull through this but right now it is only wishful thinking.   Her Life could go downhill at any second.   Please, keep our little Angel in your prayers.
