GREENVILLE, SC....Quincy is an 8 week old Cocker Spaniel that only weighs 7 pounds.  He was picked up as a stray and brought to Greenville County Animal Control.  His eyes are so swollen up and infected that he can only barely see out of one eye.  We immediately grabbed him to make sure he got the best possible medical care so he did not have any further damage to his eyes.  We have had several demodex dogs that have been so bad they lost their eye sight and there was nothing we could do.  The infection had destroyed them.  This adorable little boy is so swollen  and inflamed he looks much larger than he is.  He is tiny and scared.  His life it appears has been a nightmare up until this point.  He was picked up as a stray.  He is too sick and weak to have gotten where he was by himself with very little eye sight.  Someone abandoned this baby with no way of taking of himself.  His body is covered with secondary infections from the demodex.  He will be with us for several months while he recovers and builds up his compromised immune system.  He is going to be beautiful once his skin starts to heal but will probably lose a lot more hair before he gets better.  One thing is for sure, he is sweet and loving.  Quincy is still a BABY that needs lots of nurturing and love.  That is exactly what he is going to get from here on out.  His worst days are over and only good days are ahead of him.

Adorable Quincy may not look like he is a lot better but he actually is.  He has really had a rough time of it.  He has lost most of his fur but his skin is finally beginning to feel better.  Notice those big beautiful eyes.  They were so infected, we thought he would lose his eyesight.  He is getting better every day.

Look at adorable quincy how incredible he looks.  It is hard to believe this is the same dog we saw four weeks ago.  He is a total Sweetheart.  We adore this wonderful little boy.  He is feeling wonderful.
