I wanted to let everyone know that sweet Lillian did great during her long procedure.  Dr. Jennifer Au did her surgeries at CVRC and went into the procedures feeling very good about her outcome.   Given Lillian's age, we would not have proceeded if any of her Diagnostic Tests or Specialists thought she would not survive.   Each person felt for her to have the best Quality of Life, the organs needed to be put back into her body into their proper place.   Lillian also has had a higher than normal white blood count.  The surgery was necessary to make sure none of the organs had blocked or formed any kinks during the long time they were out.  I am happy to report that each organ is functioning properly and went back in easier than was anticipated.   In the pictures, you can see each hole that formed the opening for the hernias.   We could manually put the organs back, but they would not stay without surgical intervention.    

Lillian is heavily sedated at this time but is eating small amounts of food that is being hand fed to her.  She will be in ICU for another week or until she has fully recovered from her procedure.   

I am not sure why but we have only received a small amount of donations for sweet Lillian.  This wonderful girl has had a horrible Life up until now.  She deserves to get the best possible care she can so her final years will be pain free.   This is her one and only chance at having a Normal Life.   Dogs get old and live long lives when they are surrounded by unconditional Love.  Lillian now has a chance at finding Love and putting the past behind her.  Please, Help us with her extensive Medical Bills so we can help more dogs like Lillian.

If you love Older Dogs as much as we do, then put in an application to adopt dear Lillian.   She is a fabulous girl that acts much younger than her age.   She will reward you with the most endearing looks that will melt your heart daily.  How anyone could have allowed her to suffer the way she has is criminal.   No one is ever going to hurt this sweet dog again.  From now on, her final years will be filled with unconditional Love and Joy and admiration for the little Dog that never gave up on Life.
