Corey was picked up by Animal Control in Greenville, SC after being attacked by a dog.  He is a six month old sweet kitten that had his leg de-gloved during the attack and now has all the bone on the leg exposed.  He had a rough couple of days and we did not think he was going to make.  As of this morning, he is doing much better and is scheduled to have his leg amputated on Friday.   With this type of injury, that is the only option for this kitten.  If we could save the leg we would.  This is one of the sweetest kittens.  With all the pain he was experiencing, he just kept purring and was so glad someone was finally helping him.

Corey had his leg amputated the other day and is doing much better.

As you can see he is not very big and needs to put some weight on.

Corey is out of the hospital and is with his new foster family.  He will be there until he recovers from her amputation.  He is a sweetheart of a cat and will make someone a wonderful member of the family.  He is slowly gaining his weight back.

Corey is recovering nicely from the amputation.  We are beginning to believe he was a feral cat because he doesn’t like to be held much and is a real loner.  He seems to like it that way.  He is warming up a little more each day.  he is available for adoption.
