TIMBER (BCACS)

🐾 Timber’s Battle Isn’t Over

I don’t think I’ve ever been in a worse position—doing absolutely everything humanly possible for a dog, spending an unbelievable amount of money, fighting for every inch of progress—and still having him in ICU with a draining tube that cannot be removed without putting his life in immediate danger.

Timber has no idea how sick he really is. He’s happy, eating, drinking, wagging, and doing his best to enjoy the moments he’s given. But his abdomen is still producing far too much fluid from infection and inflammation. At one point, nearly three liters had to be removed. He’s now down to 1.5 liters a day, which is progress, but still far more than his body can safely handle.

If this fluid isn’t removed, Timber will be in unbearable pain, his abdominal cavity will rupture, and I will have no choice but to say goodbye to this beautiful boy. That is the reality we are fighting against every single day.

I have spoken to every specialist imaginable, exhausted every idea, and they all agree: what we are doing now is his only chance. I don’t have any good options. We are going broke trying to keep Timber alive, and on top of this, I still have 42 other dogs under our care who depend on us.

I need help. If you can donate—please do it now. I have never turned away an animal because of lack of funds, and I don’t want Timber to be the first. Please, if you’re able… DONATE.
