I truly appreciate everyone’s patience with Timber updates. As I mentioned in earlier emails, unless Timber has any medical concerns, I will be posting updates about him approximately once a month. If anything changes medically, you will hear from me immediately.
Our special, resilient boy is back to his normal self. He has had no setbacks and has regained most of the weight he lost during his hospital stay. We are not seeing any residual effects from the antibiotics, and there has been no swelling or fluid retention—wonderful news all around.
Timber’s personality is his usual cheerful self. He does seem a bit cautious with new people right now, which is understandable after such a long hospital stay. At the moment, he is completely obsessed with gathering as many stuffed toys as he can fit into his kennel. He piles them up, buries his face in them, and falls asleep surrounded by his treasures. He almost always has one proudly carried in his mouth.
In the meantime, we have taken in four new dogs, each critical in their own way. Two have already undergone surgery, and two more are currently in ICU awaiting their procedures. I will do my very best to share their stories and updates before Christmas.
As we move through this holiday season, please be mindful of animals left out in the cold and older individuals who may not have family nearby to care for them. Offering help whenever possible—whether it’s a gentle smile, a kind word, or a warm embrace—can make a world of difference for both animals and humans alike.
Thank you for being part of our NAR community—one that helps the helpless and loves those our society too often deems unlovable.
Warm hugs and much love,
Jennifer and the Noah's Arks Rescue Family
